its my website and i get to talk extensively about my fave bands!!!!!!

my absolute favorite bands are the academy is... and cobra starship ^___^ unfortunately, if i tried to talk about both of them here, the page would explode from the pure amount of awesome. soooooo if you click on their names you can find a page entirely about each of them!!! (both currently under construction LOL)

boys in bands interlude

fall out boy: i've been into fob since i was 11 years old, they helped form me so much it's ridiculous. i dont like to say i have a fave member since i love them all so so much, but something abt pete wentz unleashes a rabid part of my brain LOL my fave album is infinity on high, my fave song is hum hallelujah :3

my chemical romance: i got into mcr at the same time as fob and it shows LOL i used to spend my 6th grade english class on google images saving pics of them to flashdrive and forcing my non-emo friends to learn abt them. mikey way made me a physically disabled nonbinary lesbian. fave album is three cheers for sweet revenge obviously and fave song of all time is you know what they do to guys like us in prison or sharpest lives (ps: i got to see them live 9/8/2022 in boston!!!!)

midtown: stereotypically, i got into midtown due to my love of cobra. but that does not mean im only into midtown for gabe. midtown is so so so special and important to me. i would do anything to see one of their shows T__T (keeping this in despite seeing them live bc i think it's funny) fave album is forget what you know, fave songs are "empty like the ocean" and "hey baby dont you know we're all whores" and fave member (besides gabe bc thats obv) is tyler rann (ps: i got to see them live 5/28/2023 in nj and became best friends with tyler rann :3)

gym class heroes: of course, with tai and cobra comes gch LOL i actually got into them before tai, shockingly. i loveeeee travie mccoy, but that doesnt mean i love any of the other members less (particularly disashi). fave album is as cruel as school children, fave song is 7 weeks

panic! at the disco: i would say that im unfortunately a panic fan, but i dont think its unfortunate LOL they were the very first "emo" band i ever listened too and it led me to who i am today. i have a lot of opinions on patd, so i largely stay away from the fanbase aside from ancient livejournal communities. feel free to ask me abt them, but be warned that i am very passionate abt it. fave member is jon walker ^///^ fave album and song change all the time, it's never been consistent. if i had to choose, maybe afycso and build god, but those are just off the top of my head

in the songs

phantom planet: oh boy, how do i even begin? i had listened a very slight amount prior to the sickness, but on may 6th, i started my obsession with phanplan. i fell hard and fast, and am probably still falling LOL i fucking love alex greenwald, he is awful and wonderful and everything to me. i can tell you more abt this band than i care to admit. my favorite album of theirs switches between their self titled and raise the dead, but my fave song is definitely big brat (ps: i got to see them live 5/28/2023 in nj and met alex)

death cab for cutie: i fucking love death cab!!!! i know the least abt them compared to the bands listed prior to this, but they are so so so important to me. chris walla's lesbian swag changed my life. go listen to the album transatlaticism in full, you will walk out a different person. same with plans. tiny vessels is my current obsession, tied with crooked teeth

thursday: the first time i ever listened to thursday i listened to them for 27 hours straight with no stop. they are one of my most highly recommended bands ever. i am also desparately in lust with geoff rickly (despite being a lesbian). fave album is a city by the light divided and my fave song is a rotation of signals over the air, the lovesong writer, and counting 5-4-3-2-1, as well as a couple others that shift with obsession (ps: i got to see them live 9/8/2022 in boston and 5/27/2023 in nj)

the used: the used was one of the first bands i got into when i decided to fully embrace being emo. i dont know nearly as much as i want to abt them, but i love them tons nonetheless. fave member is prob bert mccracken, fave album is lies for the liars, fave song is paradise lost

taking back sunday: the other band that got me to fully embrace emo!! i have a strange fascination with their dramatic history. fave members are adam lazzara and john nolan, fave album is louder now or tell all your friends, fave song is cute without the e (dont judge me, it's a classic) or there's no i in team

empires: i started listening to empires because of my obsession with tai, but they grabbed me immediately and my love for them is independent from tai. about 15 seconds into the very first time i listened to them, i said outloud alone "i love this band." tom conrad is the cream in my oreo. sean van vleet's voice makes me melt. fave album is bang or howl, fave songs are damn things over, can't take my heart away, and midnight land (i have to stop myself there of i'll just list their whole discography)

armor for sleep: every day of my life, i thank my friend archer for getting me into armor. ben jorgensen is my fave little man obsessed with death <3 it is a goal of mine to own a copy of the comprehensive guide for touring. all of their albums have a special place in my heart, but if i had to pick a fave, it would be what to do when you are dead. fave songs are basement ghost singing, all warm, and stars in your eyes

this providence: i am so so so passionate abt tprov. they should have been a million times more popular than they were, and i am trying to give them what they deserved. fave member is david blaise (though it's hard to pick a fave), fave album is who are you now, and fave song is a wolf in sheeps clothing

jack's mannequin: andrew mcmahon is my garage band king (wrong band ref, i know). everything in transit is an incredible album, i have listen to it for days on end. fave songs are bruised, american love, and the mixed tape

the hush sound: god how i wish i knew more about the hush sound T_T greta salpeter and bob morris are my faves. i love like vines, and my fave song is prob sweet tangerine

versaemerge: yet another band that should've been way more popular than they were T___T i am terribly in love with sierra kusterbeck, and blake harnage is so skrunk to me. fixed at zero is my fave album obv, and i love your own loVE and bones

powerspace: rationally, i can understand they might not have the best music in the world. but my god i love them. their only album is the kicks of passion, so my fave is pretty obv. fave member is kevin kane, but alec cyganowski's voice is so special to me. fave songs are amplifire and powerspace snap bracelet

3oh!3: i genuinely love 3oh!3, despite that one time my sister asked me if i listened to them as a joke. fave album is want, fave song is punkbitch or dont dance. i have no delved into the depths of learning about sean or nat's personalities, so i dont have a fave member

girl friday/the escape artist/the altogether: im grouping these 3 together since theyre all connected, none are emo, and i have the fave member in each LOL my love of these bands come from my love of polygon. fave albums are each band's lps (androgynous mary, narcissus, and silo), fave songs are public bodies/mutilation simple/bigger sky, and fave member of each is sierra scott <333

the mixed tape

surprisingly, i do have the ability to casually listen to music! some bands i havent hardcore obsessed over but still love include...

paramore, bright eyes, rilo kiley, say anything, the front bottoms, muse, cartel, motion city soundtrack, recover, something corporate, the cab, JJAMZ, gatsby's american dream, the shins, modest mouse, the like, rooney, the white tie affair, hey monday, the mars volta, black belt eagle scout, regina spektor, the snake the cross the crown, the postal service, and 504plan
