"more than a record label, it's a lifestyle"

welcome to the only thing i ever think about LOL the record label "fueled by ramen" is my special interest and i devote basically all my free time to learning more about it :3 it is a goal of mine to listen to every single band ever signed to FBR, i am currently at 35/94. seen below is my handmade venn diagram of every band signed to fbr and decaydance (pete wentz's subsidiary label), minus waterparks and games we play.

i have been into fbr since technically 2015, though i only started caring about them like i do now in 2021. please please please ask me about fbr or almost any of the bands signed and i will be so thrilled to try my best to answer.

personal origin

soooo my technical origin to my fbr obsession happens all the way back in 2015 at the ripe age of 11 *insert flashback music* my only social media was pinterest and i had one friend. one day they tell me to listen to panic at the disco and the rest is history. i became very quickly obsessed with them and fall out boy. but i didnt know abt fbr yet. flash forward past many years of repression to 2021, i get into tai and cobras and gch based on association with fob and panic. and yet i still was not conciously in love with fr. until january 11th 2022, when i was gifted the fbr 15the anniversary book. immediately, i fell in love with the label and started trying to listen to every band ever signed to the label.

the polycule of it all

one of the most interesting, and well known, characteristics of the label is how much the bands interact. most bands (in their respective little groups by time periods) were friends, or at least very friendly. fbr became notorious for bands touring together, featuring on each other's songs, kissing being very close friends, etcetc it's made for a lot of slash amazing songs and photos (this is my reminder to myself to add pictures LOL)

most famously is the so-called "fueled by ramen five" aka fall out boy, panic! at the disco, cobra starship, the academy is..., and gym class heroes. the primary group of around 2005 to around 2009 imo. they're my primary grouping of interest in the polycule formatting of fbr. but most ppl think the polyculism starts and ends with those 5, which is does not! ignoring the many other bands that could be tacked onto that group, there's also (REMINDER TO FINISH THIS WHEN I GET BACK TO MY FBR15 BOOK LOL)
